Human blood PH should be slightly alkaline to maintain good health.<br />
The term pH stands for &#8220;Potential of Hydrogen&#8221;. It is the measure of the relative acidity or alkalinity of a solution. The pH level indicates the body&#8217;s <a href='http://www.nucellcanada.ca/store/cellfood.html' target='_blank'>Acid/alkaline balance</a> and tells the health of the individual.<br />
 The scale of pH runs from 0 to 14.Zero is totally acidic and 14 is totally alkaline. The middle of the scale at 7, is neutral. Quality water has a pH of 7.<br />
It is extremely rare that a person is too alkaline. It is more likely to occur in someone who consumes little or no protein. For the vast majority though,  the  problem is more on the  acidic side. Human Blood should be slightly alkaline. (7.34- 7.45) Below or above this range means disease. A pH below 7.0 is acidic. A pH above 7.0 is alkaline.<br />
One must be careful not to acquire an acidic pH balance, which is caused by consuming too many proteins and grains. Too much stress can also trigger an acidic pH level. Too much toxins in the body  that deprives the cells of oxygen and nutrients can also cause an acidic balance .<br />
Effects of an Acidic Balance:<br />
1.	The body&#8217;s ability to absorb minerals and nutrients is compromised.<br />
2.	Free radical damage is heightened.<br />
3.	Mental clarity decreases<br />
4.	Physical energy  is depleted<br />
5.	Insomnia and disrupted sleep patterns.<br />
6.	The immune system is impaired because friendly bacteria in the intestine dies.<br />

To maintain health the diet should consist of 60% alkaline forming foods and 40% acid forming foods. To restore health the diet should consist of 80% alkaline forming foods and 20% acid forming foods.<br />

Acid forming foods include meat, fish, poultry, eggs, grains, and legumes.<br />
Drink 8-10 glasses of water a day.<br />
 Your mental state is also an important factor in health, and can have an impact on your pH levels. Meditation, Tai Chi, Reflexology, massage, acupuncture, therapeutic touch, calming music, and yoga are all activities that buffer the acids of daily living and promote an alkaline body.<br />
So how do you monitor your pH levels to maintain alkalinity? First you buy,  in the drug store pH paper. Next choose either your saliva or urine, and collect a sample of either one. Place the pH paper in contact with the specimen you chose and immediately compare the paper&#8217;s colour to the colour code provided on the ph dispenser.<br />
 To get an accurate reading of the state of your health it is recommended that pH levels be recorded  three times a day, morning, afternoon and night, for 30 days. Perform the test at the same time every day.</p>

He will believe that you were either so disgusted or desperate that you didn&#8217;t know what to do with him so you sent him away.  He will think this despite  how many kisses, hugs, and presents you give him.</p>
<p>With that , you may be thinking &#8220;But it is for his own good.&#8221;  <i>Fat camps</i> are not the same as fitness camps in the sense that a <a href='http://www.newimagecamp.com/not-a-fat-camp.html' target='_blank'>fat camp</a> creates an image of a group of children who screwed up somehow and must be grouped together to make it right in a secluded area far away from civilization. Eat less saturated fat, replace refined grains with whole grains and eat more fruits and vegetables. But when it comes to implementing these guidelines, it&#8217;s often the individual who has to translate these guidelines into an actual menu for the day. </p>
<p>But don&#8217;t forget that not only eating right but taking part in any number of <a href='http://www.heartmart.com/heart-health/weight-loss/tips-for-losing-weight.html' target='_blank'>healthy exercises</a> is an even better way to take charge of your health and move towards a better way of life.</p>
<p>The DASH Diet has been shown to lower blood pressure and also to lower the risk of heart disease and stroke. Here are the basic goals of a <a href='http://www.heartmart.com/heart-health/diet/heart-healthy-diet.html' target='_blank'>healthy heart diet</a> plan and tips for turning them into everyday meals (these goals are based on a 2000 calorie per day diet):</p>
<p><b>Eating Grains</b><br />
Eating 6-8 servings per day is the goal. One serving equals 1 slice of bread, 1 oz of cereal, or &frac12; cup of cooked pasta or rice. To implement the grain goal try eating one serving (1/2 cup) of oatmeal or one serving of cold cereal for breakfast, a sandwich with two slices of whole grain bread for lunch, dinner with 1 cup of rice, pasta or other grain, and an optional snack with a few crackers. </p>
<p><b>Eating Vegetables</b><br />
The goal is to eat 4-5 servings per day. That sounds like a lot but if you can make a habit of adding veggies to meals and snacks, the goal gets easier to reach. Try adding some spinach, tomatoes or other favorite vegetables to every sandwich, make stews and soups with extra vegetables and beans, and stock up on bags of frozen vegetables which are convenient for last minute meal planning. To reach the vegetable goal, eat 1 cup of frozen vegetables in a stir fry for dinner, &frac12; cup of raw veggies with lunch and plenty of veggies on your lunch sandwich.</p>
<p><b>Eating Fruits</b><br />
The goal for fruit is also 4-5 servings per day. To get there, drink a cup of 100% fruit juice at breakfast, add a banana or berries to your morning cereal and have a piece of fruit as a mid-morning snack. Another place to add fruit on days you are low is with dessert. If you are going to indulge in dessert, choose one with fruit like bananas with ice cream, strawberry parfait, or apple pie.</p>
<p><b>Consuming Milk Products</b><br />
The goal is to eat or drink 2-3 servings of low-fat or fat-free milk products each day. One cup of low-fat or fat-free milk and 1 cup of yogurt is enough to meet your daily goal. If you don&#8217;t eat milk products, try to include other sources of calcium, magnesium and potassium like fruits and vegetables, beans, nuts and seeds and certain meats.</p>
<p><b>Lean Proteins</b><br />
Eating six ounces or less of lean meats is the goal per day. Lean meats include lean cuts of beef, pork, chicken and seafood. One egg counts as one ounce of lean meat but it is advised that you eat four egg yolks or less per week. If you eat meat, it may take more effort to eat only six ounces in a day than is to reach or exceed that amount. To keep moderate your meat intake, try using nut and bean spreads on sandwiches in place of meat, using beans in place of meat in stews and soups, and giving up breakfast meats like bacon and sausage.</p>
<p><b>Nuts, Seeds and Legumes</b><br />
The goal is to eat 4-5 servings per week. One serving equals 1/3 cup of nuts, 2 tablespoons of nut butters or seeds, and &frac12; cup of beans. Nuts and seeds make tasty and filling snacks and beans can be used in dips, spreads and in many main dishes like soups, stews and Mexican cuisine.</p>
<p><b>Fats and Oils</b><br />
The goal is to eat 2-3 servings per day. One serving equals 1 teaspoon of margarine, butter or oil, 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise and 2 tablespoons of salad dressing. Fats and oil help make many foods more palatable and can go a long way in helping you reach your diet goal for vegetables as well.</p>
<p><b>Sweets and Added Sugars</b><br />
To help keep your calories intake in check, added sugars should be limited. The goal is eat 5 servings or less per week. One serving equals 1 tablespoon (12 grams) of sugar, 1 tablespoon of jelly or jam, and 1 cup of sweetened beverages.</p>
<p>Lastly, a major goal of the DASH Diet is to keep sodium at 2300 mg per day or less. Blood pressure lowering was shown to be even greater when the DASH Diet is accompanied by a sodium intake of 1500 mg or less. All of these suggestions will help in lowering your risks of <a href='http://www.heartmart.com/heart-health/heart-diseases/congenital-heart-defects.html' target='_blank'>heart conditions</a> and in the long run make you feel much better, physically and mentally.</p>

Too much food is not good for you and not enough of the right food can be harmful to your health.</p>
<p>Choosing good foods to eat:<br />
Fruits and vegetables are good for you but again not too much because the fruit will turn into sugar and that&rsquo;s not good for you. Vegetables are a great source offiber and essentail nutriennts. Limit your intake of saturated fats but some fats are necessary. Choose wisely such as extra virgin olive oil for salads. Go for complex carbohydrates such as oats wholegarains instead of white. Uou need to eat but watch what you are eating and how much of it.</p>
<p>How will I know if am not eating right?<br />
When you go to your doctor, he will tell you if you need to go on a diet. Your doctor will be able to tell by your weight. Then he may put you on a diet to lose weight or a diet to help you gain weight. He will tell you want to eat and how much as well as what not to eat. Then he may tell you to excise everyday. You have to be able to burn up what you take in so it will not turn into sugar or fat.</p>
<p>Remember that you should try to feast from the four food groups. Try to make sure that you only eat the amount your suppose to, and get your excise that you need to make you healthy. You can always call your family doctor to ask him how to do something if you don&rsquo;t know how they will also help you to learn how to count your calories as well it is a big job when it comes to dieting you have to know how to count your calories and weigh your food. If you don&rsquo;t you are not going to do want your suppose to do. </p>
<p>The world is filled with support groups that will help you are struggling. More than likely you can go to your local hospital and they will know how to get you in touch with a group. These groups are great. The groups will give you support during the time that you need help. At group meetings, you will meet people with the same problems you have and you can give each other the support. Just remember to set a goal but don&rsquo;t make it so high that you can&rsquo;t do it and give up. Start out a little at a time and then as you get better you can get a increase your plans. In addition, what ever you do try to stick to it, it takes determination and self control.<br />

Upon doing some research the other day, it certainly seems that very few people can decide on exactly what the healthiest vegetable is. I found it amusing to see numerous sources all citing something different, everything from onions to collard greens to swiss chard. While many people have varying opinions on the healthiest vegetable, there is one thing we can all agree on: They all have their great, health-producing benefits. Here today we&rsquo;ll list ten vegetables that by adding to your diet you can drastically improve your health!</p>
<p>1. Collard Greens. With large, deep green leaves rich in Vitamin E, Calcium, and Beta-carotene, this member of the cabbage family is very nutritious on top of being delicious southern cuisine. Collard Greens provide more than a good meal and healthy nutrition, however &ndash; they have also been used in anti-cancer research. Their leaves contain diindolymethane, selenium, and sulforaphane, which have all been shown to have effects that can combat cancer. </p>
<p>2. Onions. Onions may not work wonders for your breath, but when it comes to your body, this flavorful vegetable can work wonders.
